What is dead you may ask? Why my Socket 462 motherboard and AD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.53 GHz processor! Don’t leave any comments about it being old and needung to die anyeay, I it the exact same(including core) as the Sempron 1800! it isn’t all that old (2003) amnd my file server (runs NT) is a ZPentium MMX 233 w/ 32 MB of RAm (takes weird SIMMs instead of SDRAM) and has abot 1TB if storage. Any suggestions for a new (Under $90 CPU and MOBO combos) Celeron, Sempron, Pentium D, Athlon, new refurbished, I don’t care.
That looks real…

Expirrimentation is not good for the blog
February 14, 2008NEVER EXPERIMENT WITH A BLOG WHEN YOU WILL LOSE ALL OF YOUR WIDGETS. I did, luckily I had backed up all of the HTML and now we have the same working copy we did before. Sorry for the inconvenience
Wireless G always slower than wired?
February 13, 2008Even with my slow connection to the outside world, an embarq highspeed dsl line (768k/384k) the wired rj45 ethernet always pings at 750k down and 320 k up. I’m happy with that considering I am almost to far away (you must live within 18,000 feet of their delivery point) to get the service. When I switch to my trusty mobile unit, which sits in the same room as the WiFi router, the speed goes to about 400 down and 120 up. Thats bad because BitTorrent really likes as much bandwidth as possible, and my mobile unit is the BT machine because the desktop is the one I use for playing FPS games on. Anybody got any answers on this one for me?
Build-A-Dream Foundation
February 13, 2008I am proposing we create a foundation to give overpowered systems to under-privileged kids. System specs will be as follows:
8GB of Corsair XMS2 DDR2 1333 CL2 168 pin memory
2x Intel Core 2 Extreme Penryn QX9650 quad core processors over clocked to 3.5 GHz LGA771
Intel Skulltrail SLI PCIe 16x SATA-II 64 bit motherboard
4x BFG GeForce 8800 GTXes 768 MB overclocked video cards
4x 7200 RPM 500 GB SATA drives in a 2 TB RAID array
Creative SoundBlaster Xfi Fatal1ty
Exxos watercooling setup
2x Danger Den watercooling blocks, +northbridge coolers + Arctic Silver thermal grease
4x Zalman nVidia 8xxx series VGA Cooling Waterblocks
Plexator BluRay+R/RW SATA, Lite-On DVD-R/RW
Lian Li PC60usb ATX case
Lightspeed VapoChill refrigerant CPU cooler
PC Power&Cooling 1 kW power supply
eSata expansion card
Hauppage WinTV PVR HD tv tuner card
LinkSys PCI 802.11 b/g/n wireless card
4x Dell 30″ LCD panels
Logitech G15 Keyboard with LCD readout
That about covers it. Comes to more than most people can afford in several weeks pay. I pitty the person who would have to pay for one of these. The LCDs are like $600 each, the Processors are well over a grand each and the video cards (last time I checked) where about $589. Check back next time for more: Build-A-Dream system specs!

February 13, 2008What I would (and will) spend $200 on…
February 13, 2008Need a good notebook? I do. That’s why I am gonna purchase *and review, for the blog* a refurbished iBook G3 500 MHz with 256 MB of RAM and OS X. Heres the pics I got from Wegener media -link: http://www.wegenermedia.com/

You can find the other pictures on Wegener Media. It’s only $169, but I don’t think it has an OS, So I will be doing some eBaying for a nice copy of Panther. More info later- ZM
MSN Design sense
February 13, 2008Damn those New Zealand people! They have a better version of MSN than we do. NOT THAT ANYONE USES MSN. Maybe people would use it if it looked like www.msn.co.nz instead of like www.msn.com Heres the pics…

Makes you wonder why the target (US) audience is getting second best treatment in regards to web design
